FINALS

Well its finals.... and instead of studying I'm taking a break and blogging since I haven't since election day. So I decided what I should do. I should make my website better... and somehow make my blog part of the website. That requires me being able to easily update it though... but I want the blog to be easily accessible... idk... but I'd like to investigate how all of that works eventually. maybe some php/java script learning on my part. we'll see anyways.
Happy Hump day

TiltedTrout

Okay... I figured out my P.S. problem (see below blog)
For my info I credit google, some random black guy's blog, and the ever informative http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TheGreatHatsby

So there is this thing currently going around called Trout Bot's and they randomly connect different AIM screen names, send one or two random messages, and masks their real screen names, so you don't realize who it actually is. One thing you should know is that it's always Trout. Although in the past it has been Salmon instead of Trout. yea... what a weird world we live in noo!
Okay well I solved that mystery. Thanks google I <3 You

Politics as usual

Hi Blog World!
Sooo its the end of the conventions. Sigh! I actually did NOT watch McCain's acceptance speech, but I got it on DVR. Pre-conventions I was registered as a "Declined to State" thinking I would be an independent and make up my own independent decisions. But after watching those last two conventions it left one thing in my head. How could I not be democrat! HAHA! Which I guess is good for them. I'm definitely not a hawk thinking war should always be a last measure... and way I say last I mean absolutely last, as in like.... not an option. And nuclear weapons are ridiculous how can you not kill thousands of citizens when using one I mean really. But even on other issues, I think everyone should be covered for health care. (Btw currently I'm a college student, whose only able to go based on financial aide (thanks to dems) and I can't pay for my own, and my mom makes JUST too much to qualify us for low income. But if we payed for our own we wouldn't have enough money to pay for everything so then we'd end up on low income insurance again, and barely be getting by. And it just seems on one issue after another I agree with the democrats, so I think I just may go register as a democrat before Oct. 20, last day to register. If you aren't registered go register NOW... you can do it online. its free, easy, and your civic duty! All that said I don't think I will ever play in to partisan politics, I may value someones opinion that I agree with other issues on higher then someone I don't. But I plan to always look at things very objectively. So yes that's what the conventions have done to me. Is it because of Obama... maybe, McCain/Bush... maybe. I'd like to really believe though that its the issues!
Okay well I was going to go to bed but didn't feel like it so I wrote this, and now I think I'm done.
Have a good Friday!!!
Dylan
P.S. I keep getting these random ims from people... and I don't really pay to much thought cuz they never actually respond. But today the person did and apparently its the same one... and he thinks that somehow I am randomly IMING HIM! But he is to me... he thinks im messing with him cuz somehow we figured out we both have adium. Yea weird. So tiltedfish(if its you you'll know) ... if your stalking me and find this blog! I'm telling the truth YOU STARTED IT!
P.P.S. Yea how bizarre is that!?!

Congrats Mom!

Life is pretty intresting, how it unfolds, and if your patient things just might fall into place.

Recently my Mom's graphic business has been suffering along with much of the economy, however there was a part-time lecturer position at my college that I pursued her to apply to (it was in her major) and that was in... APRIL. We'll she just got a letter today saying she has been selected and would be contacted later ... blah blah. But how crazy is that. It does not mean much obviously yet. She will doubtfully be teaching anything fall quarter, but in either case its pretty nifty I think and we will just have to wait and see what the universe has in store for us next!

Happy Sunday!

The online community

Hello Blog world!

Maybe it is because I have an enormous amount of spare time on my hands, or maybe I am just feeling behind the times, but I feel like I need to step up my online community skills. That means post more blogs, update my online accounts, I just joined digg, and some how publicize myself a tiny bit so that I am not doing it all for nothing! I don't need a huge fanbase or even a medium sized one, but it'd be fun to connect with some people in the blog/online world.

I've said it before, but I am going to try again to recommit myself to this blog! If anyone stumbles across this and knows how to publicize one's blog better let me know!

Thanks
Dylan

bad talking points

Tonight was historic. Barack Obama, an African-American was nominated by the Democratic Party to be the president of the United States of America.

Over the past four days the Democrats have layed out their case of why Obama should be the next president of the USA, and I must admit ... it's convincing. The Republicans have their work cut out for them.

But what got me pissed off was the Republican's Response on Larry King Live on CNN after Obama's speech. One of the comments was made was how Obama did not talk about 9/11 (which he did) and how BUSH has kept us safe, and there hasn't been another attack on us since then.

I disagree, president Bush has not kept us safe. Unless I am mistaken just under 3,000 people were killed on 9/11. 2,740 of them American citizens. Since then due to Bush's brilliant plan of invading Iraq 4,150 Americans have died as a result of military casuaties, and 30,568 have been wounded (officially) according to this website. That is not keeping America safe! (Just as an aside, 4,000 of those american deaths was after "mission accomplished")

So in conclusion, Republican's have a LOT of making up to do if they want to redeem their party.

I must

I must post a blog! This was the overwhelming erge I had when I saw that little bookmark on by firefox bookmarks bar. I'm actually at school right now (yay cal poly!) and I am on my laptop in the EE senior project lab (i think they should change the name to be open lab....cuz thats what it is) Anyways I just thought I should post a blog to say hello!

And that google is amazing. I just set it up so I can access my google docs even when I am offline. How amazing is that. So if I'm somewhere where I don't have internet access but I need to open a document on google docs! BAM i can.... as long as it was there last time I had internet. I think thats pretty nifty espeacially because I am using it more and more. OK well thats all for now :)

P.S. maybe when I get good about posting on here I should link it on something

asi elections

avoiding homework... so I'll post a blog!

Well I'm in a chat room w/ the school newspaper. what a nerd.
and Angela Kramer won for ASI president.

I find this to be intresting socially because currently we have a ag major, male as the president. Now we will have a female, college of liberal arts president (and not that it affects her abilities, its just intresting socially. she is a lesbian)

Personally I think she will do a good job, I feel like the ASI president needs to be charismatic and can energize the student body, something I feel is a strength of Kramer.

So here's my policy. I won't endorse a candidate unless I thoroughly explain my choice (not matter what scale). So I won't say who I actually voted for. But I will say that I think Kramer will make a fine president. Thats all for now.

Now I HAVE TO do some calculus and digital design homework.
why does it never end!!!

Greetings!

Greetings & Salutations!

I know my fan-base is so large, fear not the loud cries you have all made at the lack of my blogging has not fallen on deaf ears.

Oh wait, that didn't happen nobody reads this! hehe.
Well I think I am going to start writing in this blog more often, because why not. I'm not to worried about someone discovering who I am because I'm not. So there. Actually I got inspired by a blog which I won't name, and its author doesn't reveal its name. (They have a slightly larger fanbase though) Anyways my goal is to update this not so that others can read... but because I feel like if I don't record my thoughts they will be like closed books on a shelf. Unused... and I know my thoughts are there and can be expanded .... but I just need the opportunity to open those books. So here goes, lets see where I go with this now.

Hopefully I stick with it!
